What the audit's for

A short hit list. Not a 70-page junk export.

Audit tools love dumping hundreds of warnings on you. Most don't matter. You need to know which problems confuse Google, weaken the map listing, or make a homeowner hesitate to call. That's the list we build.

SMBify’s free audit starts with that question. We review the public core local search setup and identify the clearest next actions. The result may point to a weak Google Business Profile, thin service pages, conflicting phone data, missing review systems, poor internal linking or a larger technical barrier.

The audit's directional. It'sn't a substitute for full access to analytics, Search Console, the Business Profile or the site’s technical stack. When a conclusion requires those sources, we label it as a follow-up question instead of pretending to know.

What we inspect

Six checks that expose the real blockage.

01

Search-result presence

How your business appears for a small set of relevant commercial searches, which competitors dominate and whether the website and profile present the same story.

02

Google Business Profile

Visible category, services, business information, service-area presentation, review pattern and obvious completeness or policy concerns.

03

Website service clarity

Whether important services have useful pages, titles and calls to action, and whether the first pages your customer lands on answer local buying questions.

04

Business-data consistency

A spot-check of major public citations for conflicting name, address, phone, website or category information.

05

Trust and conversion

Reviews, contact paths, phone visibility, service-area clarity and signs that the site helps a homeowner choose:not just a search engine crawl.

06

Technical red flags

Obvious indexation, canonical, metadata, mobile or internal-linking issues visible without privileged access.

Example audit points

The kind of finding you can expect.

These are examples, not claims about your site. A real audit reports only what the public evidence supports.

Profile-to-page mismatch

The profile lists water-heater repair, but the website gives the service one sentence on a general page. Recommendation: create a useful, conversion-ready service page before expanding city coverage.

Competing phone numbers

Major directories show two different numbers. Recommendation: confirm the primary number, document any tracking setup and correct high-priority records first.

Weak market context

The site says “serving the whole area” without naming the real core market or explaining dispatch coverage. Recommendation: clarify legitimate service boundaries and connect them to priority pages.

What you receive

You get a list you can actually use.

The response identifies the main observations, explains why they matter and orders the first steps. Some recommendations may be changes you can make internally. Others may fit the SMBify monthly plan. If the problem requires a specialist developer, paid-media expert or policy appeal outside our scope, we will say so.

The audit doesn't include fake urgency, a guaranteed ranking forecast or a claim that every competitor is doing something wrong. It's a practical fit check and the beginning of a useful conversation.

  • Top local-search blockers
  • Profile and website observations
  • Priority citation inconsistencies
  • Recommended order of operations
  • Clear scope boundaries
  • No purchase obligation
How to get a better audit

Give us the market context a tool can't guess.

Along with the website, share the real business location, primary trade, highest-value services and core service area. Mention whether your company has one location or several, whether customers visit the address and whether the Google Business Profile is currently verified.

Do not send passwords, recovery codes or sensitive customer data. Initial review uses public information. If access becomes useful after you decide to work together, it should be granted through official user-management controls.

If the site recently moved domains, your company rebranded or the phone number changed, include that history. Those events often explain citation mismatches and indexing confusion that look mysterious from the outside.

Audit FAQ

What happens next?

Is the audit really free?

Yes. There is no charge for the initial public review and no obligation to buy the monthly plan.

Do you need login access?

Not for the initial audit. It uses public information. Deeper implementation may later require access granted through official controls.

How detailed is it?

It's a put firstd first assessment instead of a full technical forensic report. The goal is to identify the clearest next actions.

Will you guarantee results after the audit?

No. The audit can identify opportunities and risks, but it can't guarantee rankings, calls or a fixed result date.

What if SMBify isn't the right fit?

We will explain the gap. You may need development, advertising, a policy specialist or internal operational work before the local SEO plan makes sense.
